Toolox 44 is a high-performance tool steel that is supplied in a quenched and tempered condition . It combines high hardness , toughness and dimensional stability after machining , meeting the demanding requirements of industrial production.

Toolox 44 is not intended for further heat treatment. Surface treatments, such as nitriding or coating , are only possible at temperatures up to 590 °C . Due to its fine structure, it is very easy to polish and is also suitable for the production of precision molds.

Hardness (HBW): 410–475 (EN ISO 6506-1)
Notch resistance: min. 18 J (EN 1025, EN ISO 148)
Ultrasonic inspection: according to EN 10160
