DIN 1.1730
Tool carbon steel
DIN 1.1730 is a medium carbon tool steel. It is characterized by good machinability and easy heat treatment. Due to its lower wear resistance and lower hardenability, it is used for less stressed tools, fixtures and components where high hardness or impact resistance is not required.
Alternative designation : C45W, C45, ČSN 19083
